“The truth is always visible” is one of my favourite sayings for a reason… because it’s the truth! Whether it’s people or products, all it takes is a closer look and their true nature or agenda will reveal themselves.

I always tell my friends and family to read the labels of the products they buy and to research everything! We lather so many chemicals onto our bodies daily without thinking. It becomes second nature – most don’t even glance at the ingredients! Soaps, cleansers, moisturisers, serums, oils, body wash, make up, antiperspirant, perfume – the list goes on! But all it takes is to skim over the ingredients of some of the products you use every day and the truth becomes very clear.

There are so many nasty chemicals, some of which have been linked to hormone imbalances and even cancer. The biggest organ in our body is our skin and since it’s porous, what we put on it matters! It’s why I started making my own products. There are so many so-called ‘natural’ products on the market that are not actually natural – it makes me furious! One of these nasty little chemicals, which you see in so many beauty products is Propylene Glycol. It is LITERALLY used to make polyester (a synthetic plastic). If that’s not enough to turn you off it, it can also weaken protein and cellular structure of your skin. Even something as seemingly innocent as artificial fragrance could be damaging your health. (We’ve all had those perfume headaches!)

There are over 40,000 chemicals approved for use in Australia, some of which have actually been banned overseas because of their toxicity!
